Newcastle parking

Got a rare night out up North on Tuesday. What Truckstops/cafes are around Newcastle area? Looking for secure parking with food as company pays for parking and food.

Not sure about secure parking, but there’s Team Valley, just off the first TV junction (Dunston) off the A1, you’ll see ‘The Waggon’ pub on the rhs…, good grub Sky sports etc.
Or further down Chester le st, head for town centre under the arches next to Tesco, good pubs and takeaways in town centre…short walk.
To name 2…never had any bother with security, but depends what you’re carrying.
Theres also a good eatery next to Nissan…follow signs for offices,.and air museum, park around there.
That’s if you don’t mind slumming it in a Sunderland supporters pub :open_mouth: (The 3 Horses I think) :open_mouth: , they’re a strange breed, the fans not the horses…

Barton truckstop
About all I can think of.
Don’t stop there overnight so can’t say what foods like.if there open late

Is team valley still ok robroy■■? I used to Park next to the Sainsbury’s regular a few years ago but I’m sure I went to park there earlier this year through the day just to nip in to Sainsbury’s and I’m sure I saw a restriction sign on the lampposts.
Might be wrong though

Park on the football ground. Sod all happens there anyway! :grimacing:

Sainsburys is the opposite end to where I park, so not sure.

Pardon me while I die laughing. :imp:

Cheers Rob but gotta stay in “secure” parking. Company wont let us park it in Laybes or Ind estates hence why they pay all parking and food costs.

I’d not call Washington secure. So many rat runs through the fence/hedge into the estates

Closest “secure” is maybe Leeming Bar.
