ROG good enough to spend time on us ,so thought i would try to keep the post alive, i am sure there are plenty drivers on here who know the answers instantly, which is where i would like to be.
out of all the stuff i try to learn , i find the hours and the way they can be juggled the hardest part. i think when i am working it will all make sense, when it applies (maybe)

the only 6 certificates i have ever had in my life are 5 CPC and a emergency first aid at work. :blush:

The weekly rest that crosses over to week 5 and 6 (59 hours) is used for week 5, and compensates the reduced weekly rest of week 4. :question:

Q1 - Why can the sat + sun of week 2 be used as the regular weekly rest for week 3 :question:
A1 - because it is at least 1 minute into week 3

Q2 - Why are the weekly rests coloured green not being used for any of the fixed weeks in yellow or orange :question:
A2 - because all the other weeks already have a weekly rest used for them so these are extra weekly rests

Q3 - Do the weekly rests coloured green need to be compensated for :question:
A4 - No - only reduced weekly rest used for a week need to be compensated

Q4 - When does the 10 hours owing from week 4 reduced weekly rest get paid back :question:
A4 - with the regular weekly rest used for week 5 as there is enough hours over the 45 needed for the regular

Q5 - Why can week 4 have 6 reduced daily rests in it :question:
A5 - because a weekly rest resets the 3 max reduced daily rest rule

Q6 - In week 5 there are 11 hours off between finish tue and start wed so why is it a reduced daily rest :question:
A6 - because not all the 11 hours off fit into the 24 hour period from when the shift started on tue

i see you have posted answers to put us out of our misery :smiley:
i havent looked YET but will soon, Ive just got that last bit right, so will try to work out the rest then check answers, big thanks for the TEST (and answers) keeps the mind active, and is a good way of learning, you are right also to say there is not enough input into this subject during any training, virtually nil, and also other parts of this career… but the industry is so diverse as well as the vehicles used, and the loads to carry, it is not possible to cover all aspects. cheers.
