Handballing - moving things onto or off lorry by the use of your hands as opposed to using cages or a rollertruck or better still, someone else doing it - generally - you get sweaty :unamused:
Adhoc - now and again - sometimes - agency meaning is usually we will call you when we have something, might be one day only this week and 5 days next week - when we need you…

“ad hoc” = formed or done for a particular purpose only.

(ORIGIN Latin, ‘to this’)

ad hoc adj adverb for one particular purpose, situation, etc only - employed on an ad hoc basis.
ETYMOLOGY: 17c: Latin, meaning ‘for this purpose’.

ad hoc

Handballing unloading by hand e.g. bloody hard work!

This glossary might be of use to you.

Be careful with where you use handballing (esp. in dodgy lay-bys). I’ve just found out it also means something else which is probably more suited to another thread round here

Avoid both if you can!

thanks guys for the info

If you’re talking about what I’m thinking about, this just happens to be the name I give to bystanders who stand back and watch while I humph their stuff off the back of my motor for them… :imp: :smiling_imp:
