it does seem to be a very specific test and not an everyday scenario. motorway with some prat almost stationary or actually stationary on the carriageway. a case of what it can do, not what it will do

It will work in that scenario as well, as seen in the second vid.
both show the offending vehicle at a steady pace whether moving or stationary which i suppose would simulate a truck driver not paying attention and approaching a blocked motorway. the system would prevent a multi vehicle pile up. what would it do when the car in front is driving erraticly or slams the anchors on to cut across the hatched area to leave the motorway? that could quite easily confuse the sensors as they are now picking up an object which is not staying in a straight line. the videos dont show how the system actually makes its decisions
from 2015 every new truck must have this
and lane assist
and adaptive cruise control
and stability control
and traction control
oh and possibly 12 wheel studs/nuts per wheel as originally 10 studs were designed for 32/38 ton and in the day possibly 300-450bhp
lovely even more cheap crap to go wrong
