I’ve just got a new 5150 satnav and I’ve tried twice and its failed the map download, any ideas…■■?
I went through exactly the same thing with my tt7150 pro. I purchased new maps but for some reason they wouldn’t download to my device, after phone calls to TT, both domestic & business I was given a refund and told tomtom do not support the device. After going round in circles for ages I decided to sell the device and go for a snooper.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, but if you surf the net its full of people asking the same question and getting no support.

Try updating flash Player on your pc, worked for me 
I’ve sorted it, the Internet speed at home wasn’t quick enough so I went round to my dads and used his fibre optic broadband and jobs a good 'un
