I thought it was just a badge , but a quick scan tells me it’s a new generation of engines , far more fuel efficient, I started out with 100% ad - blue / diesel , not something I can recollect, but this thing seems to be using more ad- blue than diesel ?
Maybe it’s only a small adblue tank compared to others?
You been selling ad-blue to the travelling community again dozy?
I get through 2 tanks of diesel to 1 of adblue.
Mines a V8.
Drove fron Newport South Wales to Witham yesterday, about 4 hrs with traffic. Adblue still showing 100% on gauge.
The latest engines of several manufacturers are going through huge amounts of adblu, are they gradually (and understandably) removing the EGRs and relying solely on adblu for emission reduction now?
I’m going through about 45L of AdBlue for every 460L of diesel in a 2019 Volvo FH. Defiantly drinks more adblue when running heavy though.
Edit because I am an idiot.

For a man constantly on a drivers forum not to know the Super is a new engine range is hard to believe. Not like Scania kept quiet about it!

I’ve never seen a thread on scania s new super engine range , like to point it out then I’ll have a read , and to be honest the last 3 months have been taken up trying to work out daf xg dashes !!!
It’s time they produced a basic lorry for the older driver , a simple radio / cd would be a start
This xg seems the same , started off with 100% ad- blue / diesel , as Julian says must just be latest generation of lorry’s

I compared it with one of our 72 plates , previous generation engine & add blue tank / diesel looks the same

Euro palls are lucrative enough for me ha ha
Thanks all , thinks it’s a case with these midnight / 1 am starts I’ve not been awake , been driving xg dafs & looking at one today it’s the same ( or using the same amount of diesel / ad - blue ) , obviously I’ve not noticed , not sure why I just picked it up on scania , and never noticed on daf

Couldn’t agree more mate, these latest motors are too complicated for their own good, i’m due a new one shortly and seriously considering retiring instead, detest the bloody things.

I’m going through about 180L of AdBlue for every 460L of diesel in a 2019 Volvo FH. Defiantly drinks more adblue when running heavy though.
Seriously?
In my Actros (400 litre diesel tank, maybe 40 litre adblue) go through more tanks of diesel than adblue so about a 400:20 ratio not 460:180 (2.5 : 1)
So was that a typo?

Not a typo but a brain ■■■■. It’s 465 to 45.
Isn’t Super Scania an oxymoron?
With…
Rev limiters and auto boxes, what’s the point of a rev counter?
