Hi folks just passed my Class1 C*E test it was a 5 day course I’m currently a bus driver so didn’t need to sit class 2.
My question is does my 5 day training go towards my cpc hours because I’m being told I need to do full 38 hours.
Ps I currently have cpc for driving buses.
Pps My current cpc card says c&e valid through to September 2024 so looks like I don’t need any training.

Did you pass car test before 1997
IF YES then …
Did you do 35 hours cpc for PCV which also counted for LGV
If current DQC states LGV as well PCV then it covers both no matter what various categories of each are listed

Only if the driving school had applied to have the truck training approved for DCPC, there’s hoops to jump through and associated costs for them - about £250 for each approved course, so £1250 for a total of five days, though if you’re including test day, that would not get approved for DCPC.
It’s not common practice for driving schools to seek DCPC approval for practical driver training, but it can be done if they want to go through the hassle that goes with the process. I would have expected them to use it as a selling point if they’d gone to the bother of doing it.
