Hi there can i please get some advice on the rules regarding the longer trailer trials as in do we have to do extra license for them or different rules for running them.

There are construction rules for manufacturers to comply with and most companies will only let you loose once you’ve been ‘trained/familiarised’ on the equipment.
There’s nothing additional needed on your licence to tow one.
