Not all employers will broadcast that, if pushed hard enough, they’ll take a newbie. Spend some time knocking on doors, insisting on speaking to the person who does the hiring and firing and making an appointment to return if the person isn’t available. Be keen - but not rudely pushy.
Dont waste time on phone calls or emails. Too easy to ignore. Whereas someone standing in the transport office poses a bigger problem.
Dress smartly (though not for a wedding!), be well groomed and go for it.

Don’t know about new drivers, but SPAR (CJ Lang) in Dundee might be worth a CV, you never know.
You could always try Long Lane Deliveries. They have been known to take on newly qualified Class 1 and 2 drivers. Good luck.
