Truck: Mercedes Benz Atego 2528 “X” reg
Got this truck on Saturday and its in the garage just now getting lashing points because we travel on the ferry. It only has a tape playing in it and I have a CD player from a car. Would this be a 24V or 12V in the truck, how would I find out?
Regards and thanks in advanced

wire up a bulb holder as a tester, put a 24v bulb in it and use it to test the power feed, if it looks normal it’s 24 volt and if it’s dim it’s a 12v feed. It sounds hassle but it’s much less risky than frying a CD player
At that age anything could have been to the truck electrics so it’s safer to test it first
Do you think it will be written onto the meter part of the radio as I take it out? I had one of these DVD CD players in the car were the screen pops out and dont want to put that in if I am not 100% sure haha.
Besides the point. Its a CD/DVD with a pop outscreen I have got. Ripspeed DV720
Found out the tape player is 24v. Anyone know where I can get a convertor 24v to 12V. Will the speakers not be needing 24v power to? I would imagine you can get a specific radio convertor?

The power for the speakers comes directly from the CD player so as long as you find a 24 to 12V convertor for the CD player thats all you will need.
