I have recently landed myself in a permanent employment as a road sweeper driver. Like the title says, i am a newly qualified driver… I’m so confused… The top dog “Joe Bloggs” who interviewed me, stated there wasn’t any tachograph system placed in these vehicles. Due to the nature of the role they don’t need one in… 
I believe anything over 3,5t needs some sort of system in there wagons. The truck I will be driving, is the big left hand drive 15t.
So my question is…Is this correct? Does this mean they don’t use the driver rules ect??

There are very long hours available and also additional weekend work. The nature of this work means there are no Tachograph regulations.
