That is what I’ve been for last 3 weeks since my Craptros has been in and out of the workshop.
I’m starting to show all the signs, bitterness, neurotic, being unsociable…actually RUSHING through the job to get back ‘‘to me own bed’’ every night , …ME !!
Telling trampers they are no more than unpaid security guards etc. …(I ain’t btw )
I ain’t doing any 9s off at home ■■■■■■■■ to that , but I’m totally knackered running back home, shower tea, a few hours kip and back commuting next morning to start the whole ■■■■ drudge again …especially these dark ■■■■ mornings.
I have had a taste of ‘the dark side’,.I’m off next week, and hoping my truck is back on the road when I come back for a much more relaxed life of tramping.
You can shove this day stuff right up your arse for me.
iv found that if theres a part to the job i really hate then i should lean into it-do a whole shedload of it -and Always has a surprising end result. For example cage work -making sure i did a LOT of it,smiling a lot same time, led to a chance encounter -led onto a sideline id never have thought of doing[artwork] . You could drop in somewhere random on your way into work ,make time ,regularly call in not just once , see what happens ,just a thought . Itll only happen if you really hate doing it tho ,strange karma
I enjoy cages but there’s a few shops I really hate doing, done them loads but no good karma yet, only chance encounters with ■■■■■■ What am I going wrong lol.
I’ve just done the opposite . Signed up to start tramping. Actual work on shifts is a piece of p, just had enough of commuting and same rinse and repeat.
Nowt to lose so he how it goes.
I always have wondered. If you drink a lot of Fanta and ginster pies would you look like that. But as it was Friday, did Robroy make it hope or is the steak in his dog.
A few weeks of days , 6 am starts for four days & you can’t cope , some of us are being forced to do 6 days , get out of bed at midnight , ZB me while your cosying up in your bed I’m halfway just half way through my shift pondering how I’m going to get it all done & not end up in some lay-by on a Saturday night
Sorry no sympathy for you rob , I need it all for myself !!!
I’m sorry rob but until you get back to tramping we can no longer be friends . Until your back tramping can you resist the temptation to post on here about things you obviously know nothing about and stop trying (badly ) to wind up those of us that know how to do the job properly. Stay safe out there rob , please don’t start delivering bridges or get yourself stuck in a village in Devon or Cornwall . Remember a Ginsters pie and a can of Fanta will see you through an unexpected night out in a layby on the side of a dual carrigeway. I hope you make it home and your dog dosen’t like steak . Good luck .

Cheers mate, and well done that you noticed and picked up on my ‘wind up the day men’ bit.
I start back tramping a week on Wed after a weeks hol,.and I’ll take note of your advice.
Hope that makes us friends again.
I’ve not slept in a lorry overnight since I was a youngster going to work with my dad.
I can’t think of anything worse!!
I like doing the normal things like taking the dog for a walk in the evening and sleeping in my own bed.
Luckily I only have to commute four miles, and I get supplied a van for that.my lorry is my lorry , I don’t share it with anyone else.
Can any of you trampers tell me what the attraction is?
Genuine question ,I’m not taking the ■■■■
