Nearside mirror broken, legal to drive?

Oh it was you AGAIN.upsetting honest inquiry’s on this site…but Mr Robroy at least you came back ( which you didn’t have to ) to allay the guys dilemma… Respect to you

Broke mine a coupla weeks ago thanks to a (now dead) pheasant - was told that if I was OK about it use wide angle and get straight to dealers.

Which I did and the dealer didn’t have time so I bought the mirror and we fitted it ourselves.

I agree with Robroy, it seems a bit of a daft thing to ask.
“My truck has some damage which is affecting my ability to drive safely, my boss insists it is repaired, but I want to take it out anyway.” Err, why?

I stand by my earlier theory of him not wanting to move his furry dice and nameplate into the spare truck for a day, he’d rather drive “his” truck than a roadworthy vehicle.

Nothing but a bloody menace on the road without proper mirrors. Get back to the fifties where ya belong.
