Another Dangerous Truck Driver not concentrating. Sadly Truck drivers will never be seen as professionals when these type of accidents keep happening. The minority spoiling the image of truckers.
But car drivers bump in to each other hundreds of times a day and they get away with it because not alot of damage is done.
A truck doing this is extremely rare, which illustrates that hundreds of thousands of professional LGV drivers are doing millions of kilometres each day without incident.
Unfortunately, they seem to do it a lot in Germany - look up Shooter Media on the old Ytube - endless selection of really serious cab crushing accidents - most of which seem to be truck vs truck.
Socketset:
This common situation where exiting traffic is queueing stationary in a live lane has got to be addressed - not only is this traffic at danger of collision from the gormless you also get the last minute swervers into lane two. Or probably worse the drivers who come to a stand in lane two trying to push into the queue.
Surely traffic coming off on a slip road should be given extra priority at the junction/roundabout at the end of it - more so if there is roadworks.
Too many people, not enough room, it will not change, merely become worse and thus, more dangerous.
doesnt help all these weird shaped brake lights ,in the old days they were like a spot ,instant recognition , now it takes a second to take in lights is it a sidelight ooops no hes braking , same as these indicators that pulse across its all wrong imo

Don’t be ridiculous, brake lights may have changed shape but they’re still the brightest lights you can have, they are not hard to distinguish from other lights. Most are now LED so incredibly bright

If you must keep spouting your xenophobic claptrap, can you at least do it in proper English.

I actually know this boy that was killed.
14 year old lad from Radcliffe and his carer, both died on impact.
His older brother is best friends with my eldest lad, he is round at their house now.
Sad news indeed, RIP Joe
Really sorry to hear this.
Dreadful needless death.
Hard for your lad too.

more than likely just another jt snake/rowley clone looming up as backup again for when its time for the naughty stairs.
terrible accident all the same, but these things happen mostly nowadays due to smartphones and faceache drivers.
with a old nokia you could txt war and peace without having to look at the phone till your finished, and easily with one hand.
smartphones require a bit of jiggling and eyeball input.
