If you actually read this you will find I went to the German border as I knew my phone would work there so would be able to make some calls 
as no I did not see a phone en route & no I did not think to stop & look for a hotel either sorry about that

If I loose reception on my phone I go to the back room of the house not to another country FFs,I just don’t get that, Romania is behind the times yeah but they do have phones,

Yep I do have a map of europe but is away as not used it in a long time
I did say that I did not have a sat nav that covered that area boss said on you can borrow mine thanks I said ok no I did not check before I left nor did the other drivers think to check it or this would have been addressed before we left the UK simple
When we did check & found it didnt work several calls were made & yep we did look for a map & sat nav but to no avail
Maybe when I got into Austria & realise my phone didnt work I should have turned round & gone back to Germany but I dint I continued
If I had the road E68 & E81 it would have been much quicker & I would have poss made the collections but I didnt I had E70 which runs part way then stops as not completed ( 1 of the driver sat nav takes him down this road as does my 2009 map )
As I have said done a little bit of Europe but not a lot & for those with long memories may know why ( pm if you want to know more )
My phone does not hold signal in my house well so have to be careful
My instinct was to go back to Germany as that is where I knew I had signal sorry if that seem wrong but there we have it
As soon as my foot & shoulder are better I do have a job waiting for me & yep he does know bout this as he told me his mate who is Romanian wont go there as not safe so employes someone else to go
And the moral of the story is…never send an animal to do a man job!

Can I have the 1st as that is the main thing the van got home undamaged I got home ok yep some cuts & bruises nowt that wont heal in time
Only been back on road doing UK work for last year the 5 years before that I was on the sick has been documented on here if you wish to look in that time I have had a full house rebuild & renovation so a lot of thing have been packed away including most of work gear & as I didnt need are still there but my Europe map is from 2001 so may need updating

Always amazes me how people “on the sick” can afford things like full house rebuilds and renovations…maybe i should try this “on the sick” sometime as it seems to pay quite well?
