My other half's point of view...another trip!

This time Valencia via Gramat and Zaragoza. From a passengers point of view as always. If you’re not used to blogs, start at the bottom. This one begins with the happy Christmas post as we’re only just starting. http://www.lorrygirl.wordpress.com happy new year all, cheers…

So far so good, that’s a high revving truck 11,000 rpm !!

“empty the bin” . . . . never heard it called that before :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice photos and as with last year, it’s nice to get a non truck drivers view from the cab.
(I never looked for the poppies on the peage at Abbeville, until I read the blog last year)

Bald bloke oi agree 11,000 revs would be good. .only thing in the whole blog I got Donna to change. …620 V8 at 11,000 that sounds a plan…cheers all and enjoy the blog for what it is. … A passengers point of view. …happy new year. .

I’m enjoying it, tell Donna the K’s you clock each day with driving time maybe she could put that in at the end of each day just out of interest really like some of our Canadian members have done before.
Keep it up Donna and Greg.

It was Coffeeholic who started that I think.
Another diarist included their ‘5 a day intake’

Really enjoy these. Not written with the usual truck drivers embellishments. Top job, as I said last year, take her with you more often!

What happened to the last part ? Did you make the Ferry and get back to work ? I’m in suspense here !!

Perhaps better to NOT mention km and hours where fridges are involved me thinks! Just enjoy the scenery.

I know what you’re saying fo fridge work meself can be soooo frustrating at times but I would just like to know distances and hrs driving, oh also Donna put some foody pictures in too as I do fancy myself as a bit of a connoisseur of fine food.

I love her diaries. Maybe it’s because she is not a driver that makes them interesting.

As many as poss before his driving time runs out… 750km to 850km per day when on the distance work on the motorways all day… Apart from the day he loaded the fruit in Valencia. By the time both collections were on his 15hrs was up and had to park up for 9hrs at the 2nd collection. Only did 10km that shift !!

850k per day, 15hr shift, 9 off and the boss moans, says it all really

I’m not moaning… He still made the boat I had planned and made the delivery on time… No Problem. 850km day is easier than 10 drops around London I’d say…

wasn’t it a 15 hour shift and 10kms? :open_mouth:
Personally though I’d prefer the 750 to 850kms drive than hanging around for 15 hours for my truck to be loaded.

Yes but with 3 solid hours waiting so does not count as a reduced. Me and the driver would have preferred to get loaded without waiting all day as well.

Can we look forward to another diary this year? Love this ladies point of view.
