First off wills don,t worry about the tacho test.Anything you get wrong will be in the booklet they give you at the end after the interview.I think looking back i got a few wrong but its like everything,i was new to the game and still am and is all part of the learning curve.
As for the bakery its a good place to start.After a few weeks there you will prob get a regular run.On a sunday on class 2 i start at 3am and finish about 11am.

Hi stvme2519, thanx for asking - Passed Tacho test & Geography test No probs, I’ll be working @ the Bakeries Garretts Green 3.00am Sunday morning just looked @ the place on Google Earth Its bloody Huge!!! ( think I’ll get lost B4 I get out the place )
Could have done Saturday as well, but thought I’d just do the 1day this week & see how I go. Been told to report to a Peter Cullen? & that I will have 8 drops
This afternoon I have also been offered a new test date which I have accepted, I hope everyone appreciates that I will post the result Good or Bad when its over!!!
And when I finish work Sunday I’ll let you all know how it went!!!

Topman jackdaw Good luck mate you’ll love it, I still believe if my truck had not have broke down on my 1st test!!! everything especially the gears would have been bang on ( the gaps without driving just didnt help ) hopefully i’ll be better prepared this time

told u to keep it quiet kid good lad … my missus failed her driving test this morning at kingsheath she was going to park up at end of test all cars were double parked said she went through to fast and told her was just about to do her as a pass she was gutted

Cant believe it I really cant !!! It went lovely, didnt really want the test this week was hoping for it to be a couple of weeks , but when they phoned I said as long as I get a good drive before test I’ll take it.
They gave me 1hr Half changed the way I used the gears, I did away with starting in 2nd gear, used 3rd & stopped changing below 4th @ the roundabouts ( unlessI had to stop ) which helped LOADS .
I had no nerves took no tablets and felt quite relaxed…the reverse well I cant believe how I struggled in training with this, it felt quite easy ( no doubt this will change when I’m out in the real world )
The drive, it was a difficult route but I felt comfortable, always in control of my trailer!!!
Had to stop a bit too sharply @ a set of traffic lights which was the only thing I can actually remember as a OOOOOOOOppppsss
Back to the test center for trailer drop - feeling ok - unhooked no probs - told to hook her back up No probs till i FINISHED, I started to question myself ( did i check trailer Brake■■? ) Talked myself into thinking I hadnt!!!
Examiner spotted my light check, & took the slow walk back to the cab…Gulp… & he uttered those 2 magic Priceless words “YOU’VE PASSED”
My head hit the steering wheel…& tried to hold back my emotions ( obviously I just couldnt )
A few man hugs later It was time to tell my Family & Friends ( I HAD TOLD NOBODY @ ALL )
What a feeling, What a Relief, My Dream My Journey Is COMPLETE…Think I’ll put my Superman Suit on tonight cus I’m flying
