If in a RHD motor,i had a long stick of bamboo or a a piece of wood,with a mug attached to the end of it,and a clothes peg.
The mug for the toll staff to put in my change,and the peg for them to attach the receipt,so i do not have to climb over the seat or get out of the cab to pay the peages,lazy i hear you all say,but it got them laughing everytime,and they all knew what to do,i had a note in every language for which country i was in to tell them what goes where.
Make one up yourself,it saves a lot of time.
They don’t seem to have many attended peage booths any more, it’s all tags and cards which is a shame because the French peage companies seemed to have a policy of hiring attractive females to staff the booths.
