Hi all, my Fruehauf trailer has got an Mx weigher, which is equipped with Bluetooth, however, the Bluetooth hand held display is a shade under £300 + VAT, which is massively expensive, and i will only buy it as a last resort.
Has anyone had the same dilemma, is there a smartphone app available out there, or a cheaper way to get the display in the cab, any info would be very welcome, thanks 
Weigh it on the weighbridge & write it down on a piece of paper !
Sod the technology, (you can buy a lot of pencils for £300 +vat) lol.

Got a brand new fruehauf 4 months ago and paid £1000 extra for a PM weigher over the MX. This included a handheld bluetooth display which comes in really handy on a ■■■■■■■■ cow farm or in a v dusty shed.
Dont be so bloody tight and get one bought mate!
I have replaced 3 cells in 3 years, but touch wood, it has always been accurate, I just cant justify £300 for a simple Bluetooth display unit, it takes the mickey!!
or do what we used to do some years ago. just fill it until you can’t get any more in the box

Why not ring Fruehauf or MX and see if they have any secondhand or reconditioned display units? £300 really isnt alot over the lifetime of a trailer/weigher.
Had a result today xfmatt, I spoke to Newton trailers, Fruehauf use the exact same one, and it is on special offer, £100 including charging cable!!
Although, I cant understand why MX charge £294 without charging cable for theirs!!

Glad to hear it. Fruehauf weigher is actually an MX unit just with the Fruehauf name on so it will be the same handheld device anyway. I do like the MX display but I was warned about the cells they use.
