To be fair we’ve probably just covered all the angles,as to why an SNP MP,would have more empathy with and support for the ‘refugees’ waiting in Calais to get in here. Than for the drivers suffering from all the resulting aggravation regards same. :bulb: :wink:

I’ve not seen much mention of “Drivers” or “Calais” for a while, so this is headed for Bully’s Bar unless it gets back on-topic quite soon because this is not a place for discussing politics that are nothing to do with the title.

Thanks for that, dieseldave, as you say, the topic is moving to another subject.
Perhaps we could have others experiences when they tackled their MP?

My opinion about politicians of every party is that they are too busy talking too listen.
Politicians seem to think they get elected because of who they are, the reality is they get elected because they are standing for election for a party.
When people vote, they rarely vote for an individual, they vote for a party, that’s who get’s the ‘X’ in the box.
In the case of my MP, she is a political hanger on and she hasn’t had a real job.
She got where she is because she knows the right people, not because of her intellect or ability.
Unfortunately, here in Scotland, the political opposition is so poor that people like McLaughlin get elected.

May I point out before the ‘Scotland’ bashers here go into overdrive, may I point out that not everyone in Scotland votes for the SNP?
People here as so sick of Labour, the Lib-Dems and the Tories they don’t bother to vote, the effect of that is to give the SNP more room.
So don’t assume because I or anyone else is Scots we support the SNP.

agree 100% about Lily Allen,too many of these so called celebs are sticking their nose in,there was an actress a few weeks ago who’s name I can’t remember who demanded we let 200 children in from the jungle,DEMANDED,who the hell do these people think they are,they really believe they have clout because they sing or act,Gob Geldof is just as bad[yes I did mean it that way,not a spelling mistake]noticed he still hasn’t given his knighthood back like he stated he was going to do,guys a pxxxk

I couldn’t stand Thatcher back in the 80’s because she made sure I earned less than the person doing the same job I was working alongside.
I don’t recall “Law and Order” being a problem though, as the first tier of that law and order is “thou shalt not object to what the legal system does to YOU if you misbehave”.

The worst brush with the law I had back in the 80’s then - was putting foreign coins into slot machines. :unamused:

Today though? We’ve got Remoaners, Anonymous, Momentum, EDL, and Britain First types all threatening violence online, costing the public ■■■■■ hard cash in “crowd control” measures with all these daft protests.

Whilst all this is going on, us taxpaying majority wonder what we get for our hard-spent taxes. :imp:

When a policeman rugby tackles some yob in these parts - they get a round of applause from bystanders.
In rougher neighbourhoods, the “bystanders” might be supporting the yob, - or worse - there won’t be any police there at all!

This should be posted on the UK borders topic. :bulb: If it’s true ( very likely ) then we’re already in a situation where the armed forces of any sensible country would have been expected to act against its own government under national emergency powers.As for the moronic woman in the article she’s as criminally insane as the immigration services and Council who put the Jihadist into her home.

As I said at this point I don’t think anyone with any sense would complain about martial law being imposed concerning border controls.Until we’ve sorted out what’s gone wrong with the government regards immigration policy and which would obviously include internment of all those supporting it.

I feel you are being a bit unfair towards the woman, sounds to me like she is a good person trying to do a good thing who has ultimately been let down by useless social services department. If the story is true (I guess it has had a lot of twissely bits added to make it more sensational) then any criticism (or at least 99%) of the criticism needs to be directed to Social Services.

I am still totally bemused at last weeks farce of choosing such obvious adults to bring back as children, then allow it all to be filmed! It must have been obvious that it would go down like a lead balloon, are they purposefully trying to wind up the british public, or are they actively campaigning for UKIP ? all very strange.
