I’m gonna get my C. I want to be employed by a Swedish firm so I can get a residence permit to live in Sweden. I want to drive all around Europe with Sweden as my home. Is this possible and how?
Don’t suppose it’s something I can do as a young lad - I’m 22? Do I need a lot of experience to be hired by a Swedish firm? Has anyone done this and how did you do it?
I also don’t wanna work for a company - not yet - I want to move around and work for different people - do I need an agency work then?
Should I just drive in the UK for a few years or doesn’t it really matter how long I’ve driven for if I work for nothing?

Do Swedish firms do international work at all these days in general haulage or has it completely died? Even in the UK there are still some people doing it, though obviously nothing like it used to be, but its still there a bit.
I used to go to Germany a lot until 2009 and I remember seeing the occasional Swedish and Norwegian truck but they were quite possibly EE drivers by that point.
Hi mate. Its complete died,if there is a swedish you can bet there is a driver that not speak swedish… Sure you can find one,but probebly an o/d whit his own jobs.
Its sad but thats how its is now days

Why did it die? do you mean that Swedish companies employ eastern Europeans for little money OR you mean that Swedish companies just don’t go to Europe anymore?
Exakly,both. They cant go abroad with swedish driver so they take on drivers from eastern europe. Or maby if some is stupid to drive for peanuts they have a swedish driver. But thats beyond me,cant undestand why anyone what to work for nothing… But i think this is how it looks al over europe now…
