Fuelled up this am due to lazy night man and I didn’t get a voucher from Birch Westbound.
Didn’t really think much of it but later i was on a call with another driver and he said he’d asked the question and was told that the food for fuel scheme has now stopped, did I miss something or did it just come to an end, another little perk gone out the window

I got a one today at Frankley.
If it has stopped I’ll be going elsewhere, if everybody does it they will sure as hell.see the connection.
I filled up there Tuesday and didn’t get one either, didn’t ask why though. Got one at Southwaite last time I went there. Maybe the cashiers at Birch have a little side hustle going on

Reckon they’d see there arse if I go back and ask for the one I didn’t get
Yep deffo finito.
Went to Southwaite, asked for my voucher,…‘We stopped doing them Monday’
After telling them I’ll be going to The Fleece next time, this is the only reason I come here,.the girl.said …’
‘Quite a few have said that this week’
So my advice would be boycott them to see if they take any notice.
Wtf am I thinking here?..asking drvers to stick together on something
Just ignore me, I should know better.
Well they’ll no longer have my business. I usually fill between 500 to 1000 litres per week at Moto services, but no longer. I appreciate that my 500-1000 litres won’t make much of a difference but just imagine if that was 500-1000 trucks doing the same……….

Exactly.
Truckstops for me from now,.and at least the pump.clips work at the likes of Poplars…why tf can they not maintain these things, if you are putting 300 liters in with the time it takes, it aint very comfortable holding that thing for that long.
I’ve tried the wedging something in it thing, and 2x in two months I’ve ended up having to change shirt and shorts after getting covered in ■■■■ diesel ,.so that part I wont miss.
Akso…Did I mention that Gregg’s are also stopping their free coffee loyalty cards at end of this month also?
That is a severe blow…I
Im looking for a corruptible candidate for bribery who works at Wild Bean Cafe presently if you know of one. (finders fee on offer of a pint of Budweiser claimable… obvs. )
Sorry for being boring, there was a brilliant truck stop in Sunbilla south of Pamplona, they would give drivers cash for filling up fuel to spend in their cafe or a voucher to buy stuff in their shop that had useful truck stuff.
Free showers and you could wash the whole tractor unit by hand using their hoses and long brushes.
Suffered from a massive fake stamps campaign. You could get the stamp on Ebay for a tenner or whatever and then stamp as many cards as you wanted.
In the end I think they stopped it because of that. I remember heated arguments with staff and drivers over validity of the voucher.
That is downright dishonest…I would never think of such a thing.
You can’t buy em now for love nor money…(somebody told me. )
They still do the loyalty cards though…I think.

I wedge it with my ad blue cap, easy to hand and it fits perfectly.
Bone Shaker:
I knew a lad who had a special tool to make free phone calls from landline telephones in Spain,he liked Bacardi and Coke and gambling machines.
I know a guy who had a one in the early 90s.
It was like a calculator, you held it onto the voice part of the handset in the phone box,.and dialled the number on the actual appliance…unlimited free phone calls.
The same guy had a mobile around 98ish which had been doctored to do unlimited free calls, but they only lasted until they were detected, ‘he’ got a good 6 months out of it before it just stopped working.
There is a way of getting around everything if you know clever people, but it is getting much harder these days…I am told.
The free loader used to jump up and down on the fuel of his Pegaso Troner to get more fuel in,not sure how that works, his accountant ripped him off as he was an owner driver and she took quite a lot.
My mate told me ( Ah em) at Costa self service machines, fill a large cup up, get a regular size cup and tip the contents of the large one in to the small one, to beef it up a bit, chuck a few espressos in the regular cup but just pay for the regular size, there’s not much difference with a large or regular anyway.
Bear in mind the cctv above the machine but the armed unit of the police have not banged in his back door at 5 am yet.
Nothing worse than a rear door entry at 5 am , think of the insurance paperwork to sort it out.
