Anybody get the urge to mimic an ape in a cage when you try to attract their attention through the wire fence.
Also I have a new game when waiting outside the gate I pretend to be asleep so they have to walk 100 yards to tell me to come in. It’s the simple things. 
I agree about the simple things. I absolutely despise being ignored, when I arrive somewhere I fully appreciate that the clerk/security guard may well be busy, but is it too much for them to aknowledge you with a nod or a raised hand?
I’ve seen me when ignored by gatemen return to my truck, tilt the seat back and start reading my book. I’m blocking their gate so one of us is gonna have to blink first.
You sit back and mimic your asleep,I’m normally stood either with my finger constantly on bell,ringing shop ,ringing depot ,ringing driver line ,walking round informing customer services I’m there ,shouting at people walking across goods in yard to make them aware I’m there .
Just take your Hi-Viz off…Whoosh / Visable again 
Nothing concentrates the mind of these people, than somebody having the nerve to break the rules, you will be “seen to” straightaway
