Morrisons bellshill - question

Does anyone know the name of the big heffer with the red hair that works in the warehouse 2 drivers waiting area? My understanding is she is a first aider too.

Around bay 49 is the office I’m referring to. Also a contact name/email for any appropriate manager regarding a complaint too would be appreciated.

A nice wee incident of rude staff that will need sorting out…

She was probably giving back as good as she normally gets off rude and grumpy lorry drivers every day, if its the lass i think it is she used to be on the chill end and i always got on ok with her… treat people good and they will treat you good,

I was very polite and didn’t cause it to happen. She tipped the truck and left the pallet truck hanging out the back with the doors open. Told me to move off and park and in doing so said pallet truck fell out.

Went in and asked for help to shift it - accidents do happen - and got a torrent of abuse.

were you on a loading dock with traffic lights or what ■■

Sounds a strange one, maybe you should of checked your back door before moving off. I would of just left the pallet truck on the ground as not my problem once off the trailer.

I think i know the lass you mean, late 20’s early 30’s normaly quite friendly as a lot of fat lass’s are.

Also. Why did you not ask to see a manager, while you were still there? It would then have got sorted , one way or the other, while you were both there to give your sides of the story.

How dare you call the bonnie lass a “heffer” :open_mouth: Wash yer mouth out  Zb me now pava-zb-roti has called her fat. eezenother zb :unamused:

Yer gettin nae sympathy off me and Truckertone. Serve yer right fer not having a butchers ter see if there was anything hingin oot of the back door, before yer moved off. :grimacing: :grimacing:

Gorra go. The pub,s open. Tara.

Haud the bus - I can give a better reply now im on the computer.

For those of you that don’t know how they do things, pull up at the office, they give you a bay and stick it on.

Sat and got tipped, got my keys back and told to move off the bay by said heffer (I’ve been dealing with her mate until now).

Green light and off we go, pull forward and im doing a 3 point turn to now park up facing the bay. Only then does the PT roll out the back and onto the deck.

Out of all the RDC’s ive been to in my life - never has someone left a PT unstrapped let alone the door open. It’s an empty truck - why would it be left open?

So politely go into office and ask who loaded it - “ME” said the heffer. Ok well could someone please give me a hand to lift the PT as it’s fallen out the back - the doors wern’t closed.

Heffer - “im not allowed to shut the door”
Me - “but your allowed to open it?”
Heffer - “im not giving you a hand”
Other drive who witnessed it fall - “I’ll help you mate”
Me - “thanks but they caused it so i’ve asked politely if they will help”
Heffer - “im not helping were not allowed to lift”
Me - “well im not doing it myself”

So cue a bit of moaning, she waddles over to a guy in the office and he agrees to go out followed by her. Her mate then perks up and chats about paperwork when around 10 seconds later the drivers door whooshes open:

“HURRY UP IVE GOT THINGS TO DO” said the Hefffer.
“Awrite just a minute” - was my response so by the time I finished my 5 second chat regarding my paperwork shes waddling back across the yard to the drivers door to summon me again.

I emerge and all 3 of us go down and lift it in. Went back into the office and through the glass I heard her say to her mate “make him wait for his paperwork”.

30 mins later, the paperwork - already on the desk - was handed over to me.

Didn’t want to start a riot through glass incase she ate me or something - Thought an email to her boss with pics may have done a better trick.

Sounds like you [zb]ed up a bit and need to spread the blame about to cover you embarrassment. Why didn’t you pull forward a couple of feet and then go back and check the pallet truck was secure and that they hadn’t left a pallet or box on board? Then when you know it’s good you can pull all the way off and park up

Most drivers I know either check the back before pulling off or pull forward a little then check. Alternatively, as you say you have pictures to attach to the email so have a camera, it is often possible to stick your arm round and take a photo of the inside of the vehicle to check stuff before pulling off if you can’t see in the back while it is still on the bay.

Thats fair enough and Im not denying that perhaps I should have checked. Worth pointing out I was in a wag & drag and if im driving it’s normally an artic with barns doors that I would have to check.

But the point of the story is the attitude of this woman, not the PT falling out, thats the cause not the excuse for her to act like that.

Isn,t that zbin charmin. :open_mouth:  I get back from the boozer, and find that :open_mouth: You are now the founder member of my “Enemies” List pavaroti. So there. mwa mwa.

Anyway the OP has had his lot now.MNBM Mr. Hobbs, (whose literary masterpiece “Coffee to Go”, I bought the week it came out, and which has pride of place in my personal library  wink), hasn,t got any sympathy for him either.

Get back in there ,and apologise to the lovely flame-haired, Celtic supporting, Scottish Goddess with the sylph-like figure ya brute. It was your fault not hers. Are you a Stobart driver or summat?

Went there awhile back had to pump 26 pallets out the back of a reefer.
They got the first 2 off then put up a truck for me,well anyone who’s done this type of ■■■■ there ain’t much room to move and I found this out as when taking the next one off as I ran out of floor and was dangling out the back holding on to the pallet truck  the look on the forkies face was priceless!!

You complain about her attitude then come on a public forum and call the woman in question a HEFFER?

But…she was a heffer!

Im only trying to make light of a crappy situation. There was a huge thread about rude office staff, this was one of them.

I was polite, I don’t go looking for a fight all she had to do was say sorry, i should have mentioned the door was open, come on outside and i’ll help you.

But no, she chose to be abusive and shout.

End of.

End of?

I agree with you about office staff attitude but to call her a heffer defeats the purpose of your post to make a complaint! I hated that place when it was safeway so its obviously the same mentality now its morrisons and the staff training is as bad as ever and wont change in the near future.

It’s fine, I do it all the time, and have done for years, and I have another arm if it goes pear shaped.

I’d definitely report her m8. I’d have asked her name at the time and went right to her gaffer. There’s no need for that kind of behaviour from her and you don’t get paid to take that kind of grief.

As for calling her a heffer, i’d have been calling her alot worse than that if she’d given me abuse.

Her comment of “I’m not helping, we’re not allowed to lift” is pretty pathetic. If they aren’t allowed to lift, how do their orders get picked?

Report her m8.

see if you can get me her phone number, she sounds such a sweet young thing… mwah…
