morgan Mclernon

neilevans69:
Is there anyone on here who currently works for Morgan Mclernon and can tell me a bit about them are they good to work for and is everything all legal and above board? Thanks.

Not on for them but the work is mostly meat out of Ireland and then loads in for the supermarkets the curtain sider work will be mainly compost and pre cast concrete out and groupage back in. They do run legal now although you may still get pulled a fair bit, the police don’t seem to pay much attention to the ratings system have never heard of any problems with regards to the wages etc

Thats funny, it was only 2 weeks ago, a Morgans driver was telling me (at Iceland Warrington) that he’s “just come off the peat, we’re regularly running over 50 tonnes, so we are, those boys loading them don’t give a fock”

Me “what do you do refuse to take it?”

Him “ha ha, fock nooo, I couldn’t care less! My V8 will pull her on the limiter, so she will, although it’s a bit scarry when you need to stop so it is”

Legal my a hole

Must be true because a truck driver wouldn’t dare lie or exaggerate…
Anyone looking for work, try them. It’s the only real way to find out what they are like

New Lad come back to me when you have loaded out of Westland or Bullrush both places have weighbridges on exiting their sites compost for supermarkets rarely over 40 ton and for the nurseries around the 43 ton mark, you have just fell victim to irish game of baiting the English with tall stories

Biggest load of ■■■■■ i ever heard coming of peat sounds who ever was driver told you this sould come of smoking pot as he sounds a nutcase.
98per cent work with morgans is fridge work , alot of sainsburys, lidi, tescos where likes most of it is mushrooms, eggs, meat, chill goods.

And for the V8 there very little of them now adays all volvos 460.
So some bucks chin is dripping with ■■■■■ talk.

I just need a company to give me a break to get some driving experience, tho unless its legal i dont want to no. I drove for a firm for a few years multi dropping class 2 work and they were as illegal as they come had us out all hours driving all over Northern Ireland and overloaded to the max some comapanies dont care.

Give Allingham’s of Cookstown a shout they take on new drivers, their wages are poor but you will gain experience and they are legal

My advise take a day and get in car and land in swayers new yard in lurgan sliverwood and met transport manager at desk, morgans also is in that new yard to both offices is next door to each other.

I know few that waited on word back and heard nothing since and know few that went to office and spoke face to face and following day they started.

That sounds like the best option, ive seen that yard in silverwood its massive, ive also heard from a driver who works in Sawyers that morgans was in a bit of money problem an sawyers pulled them out think they might even be taking them over that is the talk.

Never listen to what you all hear sawyers drivers has dislike for morgans some of them. reason morgans is in that yard its massive plus morgans old yard only had 6 bays and guts of 150 lorries.
As for money problems them rumours is around this last 10 years that swayers is taking them over.

Which really is bingo hall gossip from bitchy drivers in mid 40s.
