I seldom read any posts that are more than about 10 lines long, which means I miss a lot of what he has to say, which is a pity as he makes some interesting points (not that I agree with many of them!). May be the site could limit the length of posts.

Carryfast, hmmm, I have mixed feelings towards him, pretty much along the lines of Switchlogic’s sentiments.Sometimes he makes me want to launch my device out of the nearest window, other times I shake my head in dismay, sometimes, albeit very rarely, I agree with him, but from a moderator’s perspective he does nothing wrong, no matter how much hatred he incites, he never rises to the bait and conducts himself well within site guidelines, so he has nothing to answer to and therefore will remain free to post his repetitive ramblings.
Now, think about this, many times he has derailed a thread and this has in turn got somebody to post new information purely to discredit his insane theories, so in fact he is very good for trucknet, a lot of useful information has surfaced purely to discredit him.
I have been accused of being Carryfast a number of times before when I have defended him, but I promise we are not the same person, I actually think that Carryfast is an alter ego of RikkiUK, when things are a bit quiet on his creation, he pops up as Carryfast and a two page thread grows to 50 pages in a few hours, of course he will deny this, but he would, wouldn’t he!

I’m all for debate, but Carryfast just goes on and on. And he is derailing otherwise interesting threads.
You might have a fair point, but being equally fair… Carryfast’s posts do not break forum rules.
There is a ‘random crap’ rule though, so there’s a balance that Carryfast needs to strike otherwise he might see some of his irrelevant stuff disappearing. 
How about a Twitter style character limit, say 1000 a post (including quoted posts) as a bit of a peace maker?

Posters feelings about Carryfast go through stages, much like stages of grief. First is humor, laughing that someone can actually think what he does. This is followed by anger when he launches into a subject close to your heart. Then comes the battle stage where you give up your life debating Carryfast to no avail. Then when you realise he isn’t ever listening you head back into anger again, ‘Why don’t the mods remove him’ type anger, your stage now. The final stage which many of us have attained is noncholance. When you reach this phase you won’t care what he says, almost never reading threads if you see he’s involveD. Hope this helps.
Yep pretty much agree, I hardly read anything he says now as he’s basically written the same stuff so many times it’s predictable and I hardly ever post anything posting on as it’s a waste of effort.
I do read his opinions on European truck driving as I think it’s funny when he posts stuff saying how it should be done, and when somebody with many years and miles more experience of it disagrees he’ll dig in and post a million You Tube clips to try and prove his point. 
And I read his opinions on Auto boxes, even though he’s never driven a truck with one.
However provided they are following the rules, I don’t think you should ban somebody because they annoy you, it’s a bit like asking for the rules of a referendum to be changed after it’s taken place, because you didn’t get the result you wanted.

He bases his European trucking and ferry knowledge on his holiday experiences in his car and caravan , he once had an argument about it with Luke, who has rang out more seawater out of his socks than Carryfast has sailed on.
I had a spat with him last year discussing how my trucking business went ■■■■ up, going bankrupt and losing my house with a wife and our 4 kids to bring up many years ago, and how I ended up from living in a brand new house to a council house. He went on to tell me how I should and shouldn’t have done it, where I went wrong and how I should feel guilty still living in my rented house.
I stopped listening to his unwanted comments, advice, life coaching and guidance on discovering he still lived with his Mam in his 50s.
So hardly qualified to comment I thought.

Personally I agree with much of what Carryfast says, particularly I suppose the preference for a Fordist model of capitalism to that which we currently have.
Still, I suppose any member is free to ignore anything any other member says.
