Should any trailers that may have been used as make shift mortuaries during the covid pandemic be crushed and have they been?.

At the risk of taking this off topic (perish the thought!) were any of these trailers actually used as makeshift morgues? I mean I saw the widely reported pictures of them, much as I saw the widely reported pictures of Chinese citizens simply falling down dead in the street, but I never witnessed it however. Doesn’t mean to say it didn’t happen of course, simply asking.

Temporary mortuary facilities were in use, but that looks to be some sort of modular system, not actual road trailers. news.sky.com/story/covid-19-uks … s-12187932

Think everyone going way over the top, must be the heat. The scanny just pulled the trailer about a mile, chances are as Harry said its probably gone for export by now. Put a uk number plate on and give it a new paint job nobody would know or care. Its a old lorry so it wouldn’t be worthwhile.

As for the trailer again who would know which one was used, its a plain white one what I can remember and the veggies would say it used to pull dead animals anyway.

I might be cold nasty person but these are people who paid a lot of money to come into this country illegally so they knew the risks, so I not going to shed a tear.

By the way I would change them stacks on that scanny way ott

WE SHOULD CRUSH ALL WHITE FRIDGE TRAILERS, JUST TO BE SURE!!! HAVE YOU NO RESPECT MAN? :unamused:

All these daft comparisons are hilarious! ‘Someone died in London once, should the city be demolished? It’s the same principle’ No, it really isn’t.

If you can’t understand the nuances* of a particular story maybe it’s best not engaging with it?

Crusade? Nah, I come on here for a laugh frankly. Trucknet long ago stopped being relevant to the industry, if it ever was, and as I said several times on the forum we’re all just morons yelling into the the dark. Our opinions aren’t worth one jot. Far from being upset I think the state some of you are getting into over a past it’s best truck is so hilarious you couldn’t make it up. Anyone would think it the Crown Jewels.

God speed you crazy diamonds

*At risk of sounding pretentious, moi?

Ah yes, the old adage of good news doesn’t sell papers, or in this case digital advertising. I’ll repeat my questio although with a different wording, were ANY of these temporary facilities actually used? I mean real world used, not like the hugely expensive Nightingale hospitals that pretty much, actually totally much were unused.

? Did you follow the links?
Or, unless you get to see the bodies, and examine them yourself, see the faces, smell them, you still say its all a hoax? . . . PS those footie players didnt go down on one knee… that is all a scam set up to manipulate the sheeple…
.
.
.
And it`s working!

If I ever decide to start selling double glazing please please please come and see me ^^^ not once in any of the links you provided did it say that the emergency provisions were being used. It quite clearly stated that they were in place to accommodate the expected plethora of corpses. You of course read precisely what you were groomed to read. So I’ll repeat once again; were any emergency morgues ever put to use?

I can confirm that these resources were fully utilized for their intended purpose… scaring the crap out of the likes of Franglais and it worked

On topic, some years ago I had a car on a 6 month lease.
After I returned it some local gangsters rented it from the garage. It was involved in a shooting incident and the rear passenger got shot in the head and died.
Insurance company wrote the car off due to interior covered in blood.
Just checked on DVLA and it is still on the road today

From the Sky link:
“but Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is now using it to take pressure off its own mortuary.”
From the BBC link:
“to respect the dignity we are not showing the bodies” (25secs)
“there are currently about 170 bodies here” (30secs)
.
So, did you actually follow the links?
.
Should we see the bodies?
Ah, but how do we know how they died?
.
But if you think it is all some weird global conspiracy where the USA have joined up with China; Israel and Palestine are facing the same problems, and Johnson is on the same team as Van Der Leyen, then I really don`t have the energy…

Reading news reports with a sceptical eye is one thing, reading only what you want to read is different.
I certainly don

I’m pretty sure it came up on Instagram a couple of months back, the new owner posted pics of it and attracted numerous comments over it’s history. It was somewhere in Eastern Europe. Trouble is it’s got almost identical livery to Klintra B.V.

Trucknet to me is a group of drivers that have had too much too drink at the ferry terminal bar prior to boarding ferries to France or Spain or a group in a bar in a truck stop that all have different opinions that others disagree with then it gets a bit feisty .

I was issued a wagon involved in a tragic accident before, swapped for an identical model i had at the time, won’t go into the details because possible relatives and friends of the deceased could read (was within our industry) and the last thing they need is reminding due to a bloody internet post.

It never bothered me to be honest, twas a tragic accident and they happen, would have been ridiculous to have scrapped a perfectly good (flying machine) tractor around 12 months old but the company made the sensible decision of shifting it to a different part of the country so those personally affected wouldn’t have constant reminders.

None of us really know what’s happened to things we buy, including a house unless brand new, unless there’s a registration number or a picture or story of some notorious house the chances are we’ll never know about such an event.
When you view something, house or car, you get a feel for it how it smells the atmosphere if its a happy home as such, if it feels right and the deal suits you buy it, trying to live your life is stressful enough these days as it is without worrying about such things.

I’ve told my boss straight; No more motorways for me. People have died on them.

Ffs…get a grip folks. What’s next? No more swimming because people have drowned…

It was in the services on the M1 last night, pulling a trailer for an Irish outfit.

Ferry mode ? What’s that captain

I took this photo in 2016 there were numerous Scanias in the same colours floating around, this one wasn’t the unit involved.
This particular one was imported from Holland.

The Scania involved will be in a compound untill inquests Court cases and appeals are done with .
Then they are usually crushed .
