The ERF NGC pulling the trailer is believed to have been a French-registered unit operated by LTL (Luff Transport Ltd). I did google MJL a while back and came up with a few pics for another thread somewhere on here. Robert
A little history on MJL with whom I traded in the '70’s.
MJL International was owned and operated by Mike Luff based in West Thurrock, Grays, Essex. The J was for Mike & Jackie Luff (his wife).
Although he partnered with French companies and set up an office there, originally he traded with Merzario in Italy and had good contacts shipping shoes back to UK. He did go on to open a chain of shoe shops under the name Marc Jason (his son).
Unfortunately not got any photos as his units and trailers were usually pretty well used.
