Some good pictures here, we’ve just defleeted an R reg LDV convoy tipper. Absolutely hateful thing that was horrible to drive and would not die despite the ill treatment given it from any poor soul who had to drive it.
We’d had it for about 10 years, never really looked after it and just sold it for £550 not bad when it cost the firm £1100.
We had a Convoy. The boss blew it up (not like we celebrated too long afterwards) and finally put it to rest. The Transit engine and gearbox were great, but steering by Psychic medium and seat comfort by the american interrogation team were far from good!
Ours had a Peugeot sourced engine and gearbox, both were horrid.

Looks like a mini artic ,but what are the red bars in between ?
I’ve read about those things. That combination takes advantage of the same ‘loophole’ mini artics have - they can also be driven on a car and trailer licence. The DVLA have tightened the rule here in the UK. People passing their test after January of this year can drive mini artics, but with a maximum trailer weight of 3500kg.
“Last Tango in Halifax” This little MAN tractor unit is used move the 5th wheel motorhomes and other facility trailers around to differnt gigs. Whilst this series (LTiH) is being filmed the crew use’s the bottom end of the my local Tesco store car park to set up camp, sometime’s for a week, sometime’s for a few days.
