Has anyone any idea how to change over the Freq on the Midland 48 Excel CB and do I really need to do so anyway?. My Midland 48 is set on the new EC Freq Range.
I have followed the instructions supplied with the unit to change this Freq over but nothing seems to work.
The EC Band has apparently been in use in the EU since 1992. This apparently took over from the UK Bands from 1981 is this correct and am I using the correct Freq Band when on EC settings for the UK.
EC setting should be same as FCC mid band
i’m not sure how many people run on mid 19 except the Irish
just trying to find manuel online to see if i can come up with out

Thanks Gerry thats a great offer mate.
As the unit is only two days old I think Truck King wil probably want the unit back as it’s under warranty they may be able to offer some advice with regard to my problem if not I will see what they say.
Thanks very much for the offer I may take you up on that one should all fail.
Hi i have come across the same issue today on someone elses set, he asked me to check it for signal, it was set on EC
the instructions say
turn off rig
hold N K button while turning rig back on
release N K button
rotate the channel select knob until it says UK on the screen
press the LOCK button
then it is set
this procedure works, i did it on my mates and it works fine now
