If there’s one guy you met on the middle east who you’d never forget, this was him!
One of a kind and missed by all who knew him.
Like the man, his truck was one of a kind also, and is still living.
It’s now owned by Arthur Shirley, (Shirley’s Transport), from Cellarhead.
HFA 137N is now in red and turns up at many truck shows.Ian, I think that Pat’s unit has been sold on, and that it has been restored to original colours.
Dave.
If it has Dave , that’s good. When they painted it Red and put that horrible headboard on it, it completely spoiled it. It would look far better back in the Pale Blue colour. And without that awful headboard.
Where did that motor originate from? Going by the reg I wonder if it was an old Comart truck.
It was indeed an ex Comart. I never found out why Comart had some 88’s with Trilex wheels but they did.
David

Let’s hope upon hope that one day, a new dawn of exotic road transport will break upon the great-grandchildren of the long-haul pioneers, and that trailers such as this will prevail once again from our shores. Amen. Robert

Good Morning Robert,
Amen to that, it’s a shame the way the Middle East has gone, i remember the chap [[but can’t at the moment think of the company] that was taking pipes out to Iraq for the oil industries but was found that Saddam was going to use them for “another” purpose!!
It seemed from then it started!
Roger.
