Mercedes are offering some employees golden handshakes of $540k to quit work as they want to reduce the workforce & save $5.4billion by 2027.

The German car industry suppliers like Bosch, ZF and Schaeffler are now looking at opportunities in the defence industry as most of the stuff they make for ice vehicles are now akin to the Norwegian blue parrot of Monty Python fame & no longer needed in the transition to electric vehicles.
Call it $200k not exactly going to last long for someone of 25-30 years old with a mortgage and a family to support and German health care is a work income contributions based system.
You seem to be taking some weird sort of delight in the destruction of Europe’s wealth creating industrial sector.Why would you do that ?.
Ironically I actually feel a bit sorry for German workers about to experience what we went through in the early 1980’s to their benefit.
The implications of all this are so bad for the western world and Europe in general that it’s no time or place to gloat and play the karma card.
