Can we have all comments good and bad reference this vehicle .
Good:
Strong,
Well built
Simple,
Pulls well,
Good on fuel,
Auto and Telligent gearboxes are excellent.
Bad:
Seats can be uncomfortable for some,
8-speed slap-over manual box is pants - very strong but a PITA, especially reverse.

As above, straight six engine far better puller HP for HP than the V6 Actros, otherwise the same chassis minus the Actros electronic brake actuation, which just makes the pedal a slight bit harder to push, or in other words it feels normal in comparison to the featherlight feel of the Actros anchors , the cab is horses for courses.
Good truck, ideal for timber haulage or quarry work.Turning circle could be better on a 6x2 and the brake’s are poor. 400’s pull like a train aswell.
ok for 2 maybe 3 at a push a week but new ones are a bloody good truck, well built and solid vehicle, i would have one no trouble at all.

Had a play in a new one recently. Brilliant auto box, pulled like a train and a comfy ride. The seat is woefully lacking in lumbar support. To be honest that was the only thing I could find wrong with it and believe me I tried
It’s not a flat floor mega liner top space cab but the high roof was surprisingly roomy. I’d be happy to tootle around Europe for a couple of weeks at a time in one

forgive my ignorance, but when was the last “Carry on” film made or come to that the last non MAN rebadged as an ERF, made in Britain■■?
Dons hard hat and flak jacket and awaits “INCOMNING”.
Carry on emmanuelle 1978
Carry on Columbus 1992 if that realy counts
ERF ecx 2002 later ones had MAN f2000 cab then tga cab
As one wag posted on here once ERF built in Brirain fell apart everywhere. Although there’s a fair few of them still knocking about.
we have a fleet of 430s
good, pull well, good on fuel, not bad size cab.
bad,be prepared for oil leaks from day one, poor brakes, poor drivers seat,a bearing behind the viscus fan go often but are easy to replace, clutches on the manuals are weak, once the truck gets close to a million ks they start to have a taste for water.the later ones 08 onwards seem to be a bit better than the early ones, we had some new 55 reg ones to replace some 03 daf cfs,the 55s went a yr ago, but the dafs were kept and are still going strong with close to 2 million ks on them.according to our garage the dafs not as good as they used be are still better than the axor.

a recycled F-16 more likely as all the axors are manufactured in turkey.
A mate of mine bought a new Axor eight wheeler last year at a good price and now wishes he had bought two.

Apart from the alleged comment when Goering was rollocking his minions before the Battle of Britain over their incompetance in the air, when he asked them if there was anything they needed, and one replied, “Yes Herr General, a squadron of Spitfires.”

Some Axors are built in Turkey, but I think you’ll find that the ones for Western Europe are built at Woerth. The engines however are all built in Mexico, and that’s the one part of an Axor that nobody complains about.
I think askary in turkey, mercs answer to a simple feet truck with a lot less electronic controls i heard.l

I had one for 10 weeks while i was waiting for my Actros to be delivered. I thought it was Ok, but the manual box was a bit on the heavy side. The cab was fine for a couple of nights out, but it was the engine which really impressed me, it really did go well. Overall, a good solid workhorse.
Axor is OK for National Work but bad with Parts in Workshops abroad.
Not enough Gears for Automatic, but manuel is OK.
Not many Defects over a 5 Year Period.
