Video isn’t available nowWell worth a look. What a plonker! Watch: Angry Llandudno residents confront lorries delivering stones to beach too early - North Wales Live
Hope this link is still valid.
For some reason it’s still saying video not available at this time, I’ll try on another device later
I wouldn’t say the man is mentally ill. He obviously is aggrieved that the vehicles are breaching the allotted delivery time.
I’m not condoning the man’s actions, but from reading the article, he is chairman of an action group. He is only standing up for what he believes in, just as drivers did during the lorry drivers strike in the 1970’s.
The article mentions if the hotel guests would have known about this, they would not have booked rooms near the sea front.
The chances are that the moaning guests were up before 7am to have a bath or shower and then have breakfast.
It seems the truck firm was getting more loads done and the driver on percentage of what the truck earns.
Incentives are illegal but there are ways around it written in their employment contract.
Nimbies at their best.
No anti truck muppets in Europe.Lorry Watch at Bradford On Avon loves to gloat how many they fine and print the results in The Wiltshire Times.
its not 8 oclock what a bell end up out his bed to stand there 3mins to 8 to shout at drivers some one should have tipped a load infront of his hotel
Lol
The wagons will make more racket to the hotels being parked outside waiting to go in.
Idiot.
Always amuses me when this happens, I doubt he’d be too happy if his hotel was washed away if the defences weren’t strong enough !
What an absolute prick!!!
I’m afraid to say that this is the sorry state of our society today with far to many interfering jobs worth’s made worse by camera phones and social media outlets.
People such as him seem to have lost touch with reality they are doing a great job repairing the sea defences and cant blame them cracking on with it before the holiday season starts.
He would have got more than two fingers from me, well done that man!
By the way what time is it■■?
I bet he’s not moaning when the town is heaving next month with visitors to the llantranfest where some of those lorries will be exhibiting ,a famous American actor complained about my donkey engine in Gloucester rd London a few years ago after that it was a 10 am tip !

The council said they wouldn’t tip before 8 because of the noise. They didn’t say there was no access.
Yes. He complains in the article that the tipping of the stones makes an horrendous noise, but clearly this wasn’t happening before 8am.
I can’t believe the residents of his hotel complained…this would be the only thing in Llandudno worth getting out of bed for.
It’s not eight O clock yet… ahhh the number of times I have heard that when trying to take my first coffee break five minutes early…
Whilst understanding the concerns that his residents have to put up with the noise of this operation, this guy’s energies would have been far better spent taking it up directly with the main contractor or the council. To confront paid employees just doing what they have been told to do by their employer (drive truck - empty load here), is a good way to rapidly get into an unpleasant situation with someone that may not be so tolerant at that time of the morning… aka 7.57am…
I can not believe you lot posting before 8 o clock am
He may regret posting his video given the nature of social media.
If it does go viral then he might find out what hate o clock is.
School construction work is even worse. I’ve done muck shifting and the restrictions were;
No deliveries before 8am.
Deliveries 8am to 8.30.
No deliveries 8.30 to 9.15.
No deliveries 10-10.30 (apparently because it’s the kids breaktime, by pure coincidence it’s also the builders’ break).
No deliveries 12-1*
No deliveries 2.30-3.30
No deliveries after 4pm.
*Not forgetting it’s the site lunchbreak 1-1.30.
I bet he doesn’t complain when somebody delivering something he ordered turns up 5 minutes early…
They should find out where he lives, knock on his door at 7am and say “its not 8 o’clock”.

It is tragic that society has come to this…Unfortunately this is now the norm for many people.
I ask for their names and take photos of them when I encounter this sort of hostility…People really do believe that everything in the fields is ‘magiked’ onto the supermarket shelves
I have even had them turn around and follow me to weighbridges and block my exit I like confrontation though, being a qualified counsellor it makes the day more enjoyable

Had some of that Myself Nathan, sure buggers your day up! I remember one Sunday we took tarmac up to Bolton for resurfacing the main A666, it should have been planed off overnight but a Hotel complained about the noise so they had to stop, when we got there nowt was ready of course! Made it worse when we finally started tipping around lunchtime, we all had black tarmac on and it should have been red but it had to be laid as it was Sunday and the plants were shut down by that time…
Pete.
