Can anyone tell me the average price of a medical these days? and is it cheaper to find a private doctor or just go with my GP?
I did find a private doctor years ago for my taxi badge who did a cash in hand for half price, lol.
Around about the £50 mark for a private consultation. Google search Drivers Medicals.
Your own GP is an option but some GP’s have been known to charge £150-200

I wanted a quick medical so I didn’t have the opportunity of going to a ‘national’ and paying £45 (Oct 2011). I phoned about ten local surgeries and asked the price. The answers ranged from £70 to £212.70.
Can you guess which one I booked? 
seems a case of book one when the Doc doesn’t have his car insurance due ETC.
