Next year ill be 60 so i will need a medical but I’ve decided to take a break from driving after 38 years of it if i was to redo my medical at 62 would the next 5 year period run from 62 to 67 or would it run from 62 to 65 then i would need another one at 65 thanks for any help.
It will only run until you are 65. Once you get to 65 your hgv licence only runs for 1 year at a time and you need a medical every year to renew it.

If that was true, if you renewed your licence when you are 64 years old and 364 days, your renewed licence would only run for 1 day before you needed another medical.
