Normally yes but the expiry date next to cat C on the licence will confirm what date it is due by

…and then every five years. Although you only have to get the medical done on renewal, so you may be 46, 47 etc.
This doesn’t take away from the fact that it is still you and your doctor’s duty to report anything to DVLA which could affect your driving (at any time).
Before 45, you still need to return your renewal every five years in which you have to provide truthful information about yourself.
