Does anyone know the colour scheme used by this famous London company in the early post-war years? They operated some fine lorries, including the International K and Fruehauf trailer seen here. Any other pictures, details or recollections would be welcome.

Not a mac but typical of the day,
With BRS Oxford we had one of these in the early days amongst the rubbish handed over from private haulier ,used it for local and later for shunting but it was not liked and was replaced at the earliest opportunity i remember !

The Leeds operator is Butterwick and Walker, no doubt absorbed into BRS in 1948. No idea where their depot was.

p.s. are you a leeds lad?.
Yes snowman born and bred , I used to live down roundhay road near st Aidan’s that’s what got me interested in trucks and haulage, I think every haulage company in the country passed up or down roundhay road in them days. When I was a kid I used to watch them, seemed like a great life to me then the life of the long distance driver
Just found out that Butterwick and Walker had a removals business which was absorbed into Pickfords at Nationalisation. Still don’t have the colours for McNamara though!
