I am a Class 1 driver and was enroled with an agency a few weeks ago on PAYE basis in an unbrella scheme with Ducas (part of Maxipay). The agency advised me that Ducas’s fee was 5% but my calculations show it is higher. Would be grateful for any feedback from others who maybe similarly working under Ducas / Maxipay unbrella scheme with what they are being charged by Ducas / Maxipay. I have asked the question to Ducas / Maxipay but for some reason they are being extremely evasive with providing me with this information. I suspect that there might be a set fee and then perhaps a percentage on top of that. Look forward to hearing from you.

I don’t agree with this bunch … how can you be paye in an umbrella scheme … its a con… go ltd company and do your own books … its all wrong … oh I was with Ducas as SE umbrella but within a month left …no pay slips no contract no NOTHING … my saying is the same as the fire brigade … “GET OUT AND STAY OUT”

Thanks Nick, I am now a Limited Company as of the start of last week and had to keep nagging for my payslips and got them after a month which is when I was able to check what I was getting.
its over a year since I left … still not had any … but I did get a p60
