Whats the total weight fully loaded for a rigid lorry? I looked at the plate in the cab last week just wernt sure what numbers i was suppose to be taking away from what. I queried the load and they didnt like it!
The gross weight is the maximum loaded weight of the vehicle and the Train weight is the maximum loaded weight for the vehicle with a trailer.
To find the weight you can carry you need to weigh the vehicle and deduct it from the gross weight.

I drive a 26t MAN that weighs in at 11.5 T empty so have a 14.5t payload

Unless it’s been downplated just count the number of axles,
2 = 18t,
3 = 26t,
4 = 32t.
7.5t will have smaller wheels.

And then there’s you!
So what was the payload again chunky?

2 axle 12/15 tonner will also have smaller wheels - 8 wheel nuts instead of usual 10
In France, two axles is 19T (unless otherwise plated) is that not the case in the UK?
