Maritime Transport

I know it’s right Dozy, because I asked the operations manager at Appleton to confirm it with HR when I had an interview with him.

You are correct about 20 days average pay. But it is an average of the actual hours worked, EXCLUSIVE of meal allowance.
Stobart’s would take your socks off your feet if you gave them the chance.

eagerbeaver:
Do you get your tax free daily meal allowance when you are on holiday? I would think not. -£40. Bad times.

Stobart’s do the same. £15 per day tax-free meal allowance, but not payable when on holiday.

£75 per week taken off you!!

I think the holiday pay is £125 when on holiday, which I don’t understand how they calculate. The Mon-Fri holiday pay rate is £580 which is higher than the basic.

Tax period 34

Paydate 27/11/2015

Holiday Pay (Avge) 3 x £94.48
Holiday Pay (Basic) 2 x £75.42

£434.28 less tax/NI £120.31 Net Pay = £313.97

I was on day’s Mon-Fri. Holiday pay at Stobbie’s is Ham shank. You have been warned folk’s!!

Need to sign it off when you get to your depot, not over the top but they understandably don’t want to see you regularly, infringements also for WTD 6h rule

Heard they’re strict on them.

Try Poundland. 4 infringements a year and you’re out. First is a verbal. Second is a verbal and a week with the driver trainer. Third a written then out the gate. Resets every year, not sure at what date

I’d be out within a fortnight

And they don’t like you to use poa, and no more than legal breaks allowed. I was told if you’re waiting 4 hours for a job the card should be on other work :open_mouth:

That’s the complete opposite to what I was told to do. If your sat not doing anything, be it on a bay or waiting somewhere - break.

I’m going to assume this is still poundland cause this doesn’t sound anything like maritime.

Which depot and trainer? There’s two at Harlow. Tony and Darren. Tony did my assessment. He’s the one that told me leave it on other work. It was then I realised I couldn’t get enough hours in to make it a liveable wage
