Maritime Cans going self tip?

Post number 7557933 regards to A Maritime opportunity. this one out of rail freight terminal at Trafford park

I am very interested as they appear to be getting into 4 on 4 off work with their containers, they were only previously offering it on curtain work.

Apparently signed a contract to do a lot for Tesco stores direct, cutting out the bit " take box to RDC, tip, load trailer, take to store".
this will include tipping your own box of trolleys/cages. Apparently you get a little extra for any self tip work.
This will be the bulk of your weekend work.

Wondered if anyone on here had jumped at this opportunity, always loved 4o4o but first I’ve seen for any Can work.

Says signed deal with Tesco to use trains taking trucks off the. Road

Is it still £14 per hour overtime £16?

Thanks for the link, Edd. What im getting from this is that the containers will be treated the same as any trailer tipping at a Tesco store, so i guess what i could do with knowing is from Tesco drivers or subbies about how the store deliveries generally are.

ets, I think the fella said was paying £165/day based on a 10 hour day and then around £16 ph for after that, then extra supplements for self tipping/ADR etc but i was driving at time they rang me so haven’t wrote figures down.

The usual trailer deliveries are assisted by a back door man. They are all friendly and helpful, with some using electric master movers to carry off the heavier booze and drinks cages (turned sideways in rows of 2 or 3). Otherwise they’ll help you wheel them off.

The heavier cages are often poorly stacked, so you will have the most expensive items such as wine and vodka balancing on the top of cages but after a few smashes you learn to check the back of the cage before moving it

This may be a little bit different on the containers (I’ve never pulled one), but I imagine the same issues crop up.

Any other questions, I’ll do my best
