Manchester docks/liners

I bet there is a fair few of you out there that can remember being in a line of trucks waiting to get into the Docks along Trafford Road,when at Humber McVeigh’s I used to load their special low level 20ft containers,mainly with aluminium ingots over to Canadian Docks,great days!!

remember in the late sixties loading (handball) sacks of oxide,f**k me they must have weighed about 3cwt each!! :open_mouth: no wonder i was running bent!!
