the auto box is getting worse theyre not the best anyway but mine throws you back in the seat on pull off no matter how light you are on the throttle it feels like it dont want to move unless ya give it some revs but then ya get thrown around the cab cuz the up change is so rough.reverse is even worse all or nothing
low on oil or losing oil pressure in the box ?

I had one that would rev and go nowhere in gear, MAN agent topped up the gearbox, I don’t know how they check it

If its the ZF AStronic, chances are that waters got into the clutch actuator and buggered the slow solenoid.
Theres 2 solenoids quick release/press and slow release/press, slow for manouvering and slow speed, the other for normal speed driving, if one fails the other takes over, causing horrible symptoms like yours.

For a new one from DAF was around £700. would recommend finding a breakers yard or talk to Drivetrain in Manchester, ask For Baz, or Ecodrive, who are ZF agents and carry recon parts.
