Think the Merc would be the safer bet. With 350k on the clock that should last you 3 years or more. fuel is one of the pluses with them but once they get past 800k they best to get rid of them. Don’t know much about the newer MAN’s but parts are supposed be very dear.
all depends if you will be person to drive it…Merc is ■■■■■ drive compare to MAN but will certainly cost you less to run…if not for repairing it then with better mpg for sure…

If they’ve not already gone , thrust bearing , compressor may need doing , (mine has had both in last year ) genuine MAN compressor is £2500 +vat and fitting and is not a 1 man job

thats tragic as compressor can be rebuild for 200ish…or get one already rebuild for about 700
