Malcolm group and Stobart group

What and if they merged, would it not be a new logistical superpower ?

I know they are probably rivals but what if they did, surely they could control rail etc.

Malcolm are alot more than logistics though. Got building stuff in scotland. Diggers, steam rollers, graders etc.

it would need an act of parliament
maybe called the Act of Union

Thats Network Rails job…

There is a horrible thought. Eddie getting even bigger.

so this is what eddie’s replacing the fridge contract with :grimacing:

So it is a complete coincidence that Malcolm seem to have started using the set of three Eddie style marker lights on the back of their trailers and on the front of cabs?

I think somehow Malcolm Group will be around and prospering long after Stobart have fallen apart. Putting those two together would do a disservice to Malcolm in my opinion.

That might be more to do with the fact that malcolm buys alot of ex stobart kit.

If they were to merge on looking on last years top 100 logistics companies previous years turnover it would only make them the 6 largest logistics company in the UK, and a long way behind the like of DHL and Wincantons
