does anybody remember magiures of cheltenham
closed down 2002
well turned out fleet daf fh scannies includingt cabs bulk and walking floors
Remember them well always looked smart.
Never seen one in the “flesh”, but I have the Corgi 1:50 model of a Scania T-cab of Maguires which is smart, Tenko also made a model, but a lot more exspenive.
I remember a particularly nice F12 ( I think…) Globetrotter, E reg. They were always very smart, they must have spent hours polishing everything! Didn’t they buy something strange towards the end? I seem to remember a couple of strato’s…?
Regards Paul

Yeah, i remember them having a 400 ■■■■■■■ STRATO on the Sedatki stand at Tuckfest, must of been around 89-90. They had a loverly looking 3600 Spacecab that featured in Trucking International mag back in 88.
There’s a thread on here somewhere with pic’s of an ex Magiures strato.
G’day I found these, yep they sure were nice looking motors.
I can post the rest of the artice with the blurb is anyone want’s it.
Cheers Jamie
damm silly request jamie. get it up man.
would love to read that article again. cheers
Nice 1 Jamie, i seem to remember that the DAF lived up to it’s number-plate, and was troublesome.
Thats a well smart line up, classic 80`s trucks.
That would have been a nice choice to make, turn up for work one day and the boss says, take your pick, which one do you want■■?
Personally I would have gone for the DAF Space Cab
G’day,
Here ya go fella’s here’s the rest of the article.
And after looking through my photos I found this ripper, she’s the big banger F16. You can keep the Daf Bullit mate,I’ll go the 16,she’d pull like a steam train.
Taken at Truckfest Southwest July 1991. Cheers Jamie

this is the F16 ambassador seen above befor they painted it and got into trouble with volvo who said they could purchase the truck only if they kept it in volvo livery!

here is a pick of a walking floor euroliner when it was new. this trailer went with hoopers STRATO. cuz the 16 was short wheelbase i couldnt couple up so just dreaming of what it would be like to pull a trailer doing clean work. i had many of these dreams but they never materialised.
