Macon south: there is still the “Halte des Routiers” (Ugly Sisters). Depending when you were last there the roads have changed a lot and roadworks are ongoing, but just follow signs for Lyon and youre there in a coupla minutes from the peage.
Macon north: there is a restaurant on the main road to Tournus at Uchizy, “Les Amis de la Route”.
Resto at Belleville closed and burnt down, but the Ave Maria opposite the peage at Arnas still there.
Beware 7.5ton transit limits on the national road now especially at Maison Blanche.
They`re all ok IMHO.

I’ve stopped at Le Relais Caladois at Villefranche before, good food and showers there.
It’s roughly half way between Macon and Lyon and not too far off the A6.
