M62 Leeds Speed Cameras Yellow

Hi Gents,
I am a Fleet Engineer that works for a truck hire company that I drives up and down most M/ways. On the M62 tonight around Leeds in the traffic controlled area, there is some Yellow Cameras on the gantries on your left.
Well they do work, I did see the 1st one flash at a car doing above the set speed, then a truck got a flash at the 2nd one.
So watch out people.

HADECS3, there’s a load on the M6, both grey and yellow, and they all work

They also work when there is no speed limit being displayed, I often see cars being flashed coming down the hill north of Tibshelf services.

I’ve heard that the M1 cams (Derbyshire and south of Leeds) are set to 80. I’ve driven through both of these areas at a true (gps) 80 and haven’t had any issues so perhaps this is correct. If anyone wants to try it at a higher speed please let us know how it goes :wink:

I have seen the one’s Northbound before junction 40 flash at a guess around 85mph

I must be lucky. On more than 1 occasion I’ve hurtled through them at a fair lick in my car and never got a ticket.

I’m not sure when they went live. I’ve only noticed them having been painted yellow recently (at least the ones around Sheffield) so I wonder if before they no fines were issued
