just got in after sitting for over an hour next to the vostarpo hq stafford s/bound, sally traffic said an incident,and long horrendous queues, no ■■■■ sherlock,when everyone gets going no carnage, no alien space ship in the armco nothing 
anyone at the front to see the incident 
there was a bloke on the phone next to strange coloured smart car abit further up but i doubt this was the cause 
Maybe the hold up was caused by people at the front looking for an accident that had long been cleared away

I ‘luckily’ got delayed in Nuneaton, so as I was coming up the A5 it came on Radio 2, so I swung up the A5127, A51 etc and rejoined at J16 off the A500.
A few extra miles (not that many though tbh) and lot slower roads, but quicker than stationary.
